You Are Designed by God to be a Success!

Do you know that you are God's original design?

Yes, you are! God made you the way you are, with your personality, and He loves you. YOU bring something unique and good to this world. God knew we would have strengths and weaknesses, but HE says in the Bible, (HIS WORD), that He is strong when we are weak. That's so powerful. That's exactly why we need Him.

I want to begin by saying that NO MATTER WHAT you have EVER done in your life, it's not so bad that you can't come to God NOW and receive His loving forgiveness and start over. HE created you and HE knows you. HE knew every word you would ever speak, every thought you would ever think, and every action you would ever take. HE loves you unconditionally. Yes, I promise you, He does!

I want you to think about something for a moment. If you have a child, a niece or a nephew, you love them right? If they make a mistake, no matter how big, and I mean, NO MATTER HOW BIG, you still love him or her, right? Yes, you do. That's exactly how GOD feels about YOU, only HE loves us more than we could ever love our own children or anyone else in this world. We can be disappointed and sad at whatever mistake the child made, but it doesn't change our love for them, and we would still help and love them in any way we could.

You see, so many people lack understanding of this. We know that God loves us, but many times we feel so bad about ourselves that we don't think we can really be loved by anyone ~ including God. Or we feel as though we are so far away from Him that we can't possibly go to Him when there are so many "good" people in the world that we think He would rather give attention to. I felt this way at one time too! I seriously did.

But the devil is a LIAR! He wants you to think that God's against you because of the things you have done in your life, or because you haven't prayed, or whatever. You may not even know how to pray. I felt the same way. Someone would say to me, "Jesus loves you," and I knew He did, or at least, I hoped He did, but I didn't REALLY know for sure. But I felt as though He were so far away from me. I never realized that He is as close as my breath, literally.

Then I read a book by Kenneth Hagin, Sr., a faith preacher, that said that no matter what you've done or how far away you've been, all you have to do is simply look up or close your eyes and just ask with all your heart for God to just hear you. Then just speak to Him as though you would your best friend or someone who is right there in the room with you. Ask Him to hear you and tell Him that you're sorry and that you'd like Him to forgive you. He WILL forgive you on the spot!

You see, the Bible tells us that God's eyes search the earth "to and fro" looking to see who is looking up at Him, praising Him and talking with Him. The Bible also says that God inhabits the praises of His people. This means when you praise God, you literally invite Him into your presence. This is so comforting to me. If I feel down, all I have to do is look up, and praise Him anyway. That spirit of heaviness doesn't last very long at all.

One thing I never, ever forgot from reading that book was that it said "Jesus will pass over 6 million people just to get to YOU!" That alone changed my life forever. Because right then I realized that I AM significant to God. And YOU are too. He literally loves and cares for ME, and He literally loves and cares for YOU, just the same.

Jesus said, "I am the way, and no one can come to the Father, but by me." You see, Jesus was the ONLY One who ever died for our sins. He paid the price so we could be back in relationship with the Father directly, and so that we could pass right from death into life after we leave this world. That is eternal life.

Jesus is the hope for the hopeless, and the help for the helpless. He came to seek and save the lost (or misplaced), which is where so many are and have been for so long. He is waiting for you to ask Him in. He is gentle and will never push. He gives us the choice. He loves you SO MUCH!

God could have made us all robots, but He chose to give us a free will so we could choose for ourselves. He did, however, provide us with specific instructions on how we should live, so we would not be in limbo and self-destruct by giving in to all of the selfish desires that stare us in the face everyday, including thinking any way we want to, eating any way we want to, and doing anything we want to. We already know that there are consequences to that.

You see, you can learn what God says. He gives us many promises, and they are based on His principles for us. It's the same in the world. There are consequences for incorrect actions. God cannot violate His own principles. If you run a red light, you may have an accident. It could be fatal. It's the same with God. He put His principles in place for us to be healthy and live abundant, successful lives. But if we've never been taught how, then how can we?

You may have gone to church and may not have really understood what they were saying. That was my story for most of my life until over 9 years ago. You need to understand what God says in the Bible (His Word), so you can really live successfully. My suggestion is to get into a Bible based church, where they actually use the Word of God to back up what they are saying. Also, get an easy to read Bible as soon as you can.

Life is all about relationships. In today's fast-paced society, we haven't been taught to cultivate loving and giving relationships. Everyone seems to be in a hurry, and people don't make time for others. So many people live in what I would call "survival mode." We eat on the run just to survive; we work crazy hours just to survive, and then we don't have the energy to do anything else, and then we repeat the same process the next day. Doing this over and over, day in and day out, year after year, how can we live out the full length of our days the way God intended? There is a better way.

So how do YOU unlock your God-given potential? There are many ways, but it begins with changing how you think and what's coming out of your mouth ~ your words!
